The Role

Swapfiets is a young and vibrant startup situated in the heart of the Netherlands: Amsterdam.

Our iconic blue-wheeled bicycles are taking over the streets of Holland and we are expanding fast to the rest of Europe! The Brand Activation Marketeer Germany is responsible for a both epic as consistent brand experience in every city in Germany. You support the regional managers with the implementation of awesome brand activations and collaborations and ensures that our brand is maximally exposed in all the stores.

A big task? Definitely! Difficult? Not even close! 

Your destination

  • Your aim is to create an ultimate Swapfiets-experience in every city in Germany.

  • You initiate and implement regional activations that are in line with the brand guidelines and helps to bring the brand alive in stores, on social media, on printed materials, with events and/or local partnerships.

  • When it comes to planning and plotting you are a star! Organizing local activities/events to create more brand awareness is peanuts for our new Brand Activation Marketeer!

  • You are the Tone Of Voice of Swapfiets in Germany. You translate the copy from English to German needed for all the brand expressions. Videoscripts, social posts, artwork: you name it, you wrote it!

  • When we are introducing Swapfiets in a new German city, you will be responsible for our marketing strategy. You love the responsibility and want to excel in every possible way!

  • You work together closely with the regional managers in Germany and your manager in HQ, Amsterdam.

Our new Brand Activation Marketeer.. 

  • Possesses strong communication and impeccable relationship building skills. You know how to attract, persuade and build long lasting relationships with different stakeholders
  • Has excellent writing skills. You’ll set the tone of our tone of voice in Germany
  • English B2 skills (written and oral) 
  • Is creative - with your creativity you know how to make Swapfiets popular among the German citizens. Has a good sense for brands - you understand which brand expressions fit the brand book and which don’t
  • Understands that bio is not about the birds and the bees. Liking, sharing and swiping, you know how to attract the customers on social media.
  • Look at the bigger picture and can be critical: what will this marketing activity cost and what will we get in return?
  • Based in .. (to be announced)
  • Willing to travel. Whether it is in Germany to visit our other cities or whether it is to Amsterdam.  The first 6 months this role will be 30% based in Amsterdam.
  • To be considered for this role 0-3 years of experience is required
